Strand-specific Illumina sequencing libraries from picogram RNA inputs of any quality
The SMARTer Stranded Total RNA-Seq Kit v3 - Pico Input Mammalian is designed for efficient preparation of Illumina sequencing libraries from picogram input amounts (250 pg–10 ng) of high-quality, partially degraded, or low-quality total RNA, including total RNA prepared from FFPE or LCM samples. Updates to our original kit include improved sequencing performance on all Illumina platforms, as well as seamless integration of unique molecular identifiers (UMIs) into the library preparation workflow.
The kit features a streamlined workflow that retains strand information and incorporates indexes and adapters during the reverse-transcription and PCR-amplification steps. The entire protocol, including library prep and purification, takes only about 7.5 hours.
This kit comes prepackaged with the SMARTer RNA Unique Dual Index Kit - 24U (Cat. # 634451) and can also be used with our other SMARTer RNA Unique Dual Index Kits (Cat. # 634452 & 634457; sold separately) for larger reaction sizes, allowing library construction with up to 192 different combinations of Illumina indexes.
