Serum-free Cell-culture Supplements NDiff N2
Serum-free Cell-culture Supplements NDiff N2
NDiff N2 is a defined, serum-free cell culture supplement. Based on Bottenstein's formulation, NDiff N2 was originally developed and optimized for the in vitro monolayer differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells into neurons. The product has subsequently been used to derive, expand and maintain mouse and human NS cells as well as mouse ES cells under serum- and feeder-free culture conditions. NDiff N2 containd insulin, APO-transferrin (iron poor), progesterone, putrescine and sodium selenite. For an animal free alternative, see NDiff N2-AF.
NDiff N2-AF is a defined, serum-free, and animal free cell culture supplement. NDiff N2-AF provides an animal free alternative to the orginial NDiff N2 formulation and contains insulin, APO-transferrin (iron poor), progesterone, putrescine and sodium selenite.
Overview
- Completely defined, serum-free formulation
- Animal-free (AF) version contains no components of animal origin
- Use with RHB-Basal medium for optimal performance
Components
-
5 ml (200X) bottle
Applications
These applications require additional basal medium and supplements:
- Derivation, maintenance, and expansion of mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells
- Neural differentiation of mouse ES cells in monolayer culture
- Derivation, maintenance, and expansion of tissue-derived, adherent mouse and human NS cells
- Differentiation of mouse and human NS cells into functional neurons
