Efficient removal of genomic DNA contamination with NucleoSpin RNA Plus XS. Total RNA was purified from the indicated amounts of HeLa cells using NucleoSpin RNA Plus XS or NucleoSpin RNA XS, respectively, by following the standard protocol for each kit (the former employs a gDNA removal column while the latter includes an on-column DNase digestion step). The amount of residual genomic DNA in the purified sample varied depending on the input amount, but for the input range of 10–10,000 cells, the NucleoSpin RNA Plus XS kit provided more efficient removal of genomic DNA than the NucleoSpin RNA XS kit.

Efficient recovery of total RNA across varying input amounts with NucleoSpin RNA Plus XS. Total RNA was purified from the indicated amounts of mouse liver tissue using NucleoSpin RNA Plus XS or kits from Competitor Q/Q+, I, and Z, respectively. Yields of total RNA obtained with NucleoSpin RNA Plus XS were greater than or comparable to yields obtained with each competitor kit for each of the input amounts processed.
