The Living Colors Anti-RCFP Polyclonal Pan Antibody was raised in a rabbit against recombinant full-length Zoanthus sp. yellow fluorescent protein (ZsYellow). This pan antibody recognizes denatured forms of AmCyan, ZsGreen, ZsYellow, DsRed2, DsRed-Express, HcRed, AsRed, as well as fusion proteins containing these RCFP variants in bacterial and mammalian cell lysates.
Overview
Monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies to detect yellow fluorescent proteins including mBanana, ZsYellow, YFP, and EYFP
EYFP and YFP are highly related to wild type GFP and EGFP so are detected by the same antibodies
mBanana is detectible using one of our DsRed polyclonal antibodies
ZsYellow is detected by our reef coral pan antibody
*WB = Western Blot, IP = immunoprecipitation, IC = immunocytochemistry, IL = immunolabeling **Not sold by Takara Bio. ***EYFP is highly related to EGFP so is detected by the same antibodies.
Western blot detection of Reef Coral Fluorescent Proteins by the Anti-RCFP Polyclonal Pan Antibody
Western blot detection of Reef Coral Fluorescent Proteins by the Anti-RCFP Polyclonal Pan Antibody. This antibody detects all of the Reef Coral Fluorescent Proteins (AmCyan, AsRed, DsRed2, DsRed-Express, HcRed, ZsGreen, and ZsYellow). It does not recognize green fluorescent protein variants derived from Aequorea species (including AcGFP1). Cell lysates were prepared from HEK 293 cell lines stably expressing the indicated protein. Lysates were analyzed by Western blot using Anti-RCFP Polyclonal Pan Antibody at a 1:1,000 dilution. Each lane contains approximately 35,000 cell equivalents. Lane 1: AcGFP1. Lane 2: Blank. Lane 3: DsRed-Express. Lane 4: AmCyan1. Lane 5: ZsGreen1. Lane 6: Control (untransfected cells). Lane 7: ZsYellow1. Lane 8: AsRed2. Lane 9: HcRed1.
