Lentivirus Purification Kits
The Lenti-X Maxi Purification Kit purifies lentivirus from crude supernatants, and produces outstanding yields of highly purified virus. The gravity column-based protocol is fast, simple, and effective. The Lenti-X column gently retains charged virus particles from the supernatant, while unbound material exits the column during the wash steps. The purified virus that is eluted from the column is recovered fully intact and fully functional. The convenient Collection Rack L holds up to 3 Lenti-X columns and 50 ml conical tubes, and secures them in place for spill-free purifications.

Lentivirus purification.The Lenti-X gravity column-based method (bind, wash, elute) is extremely simple, effective, and preserves virus much better than syringe filter-based methods.
Clontech's lentiviral purifcation kit generates high yield and high purity
Clontech's lentiviral purification kit generates high yield and high purity. Lentivirus was generated using our high-titer lentiviral packaging system and purified. Panel A. To determine yield the lentiviral titer was measured before and after purification using either titration by qRT-PCR (RNA copies) or flow cytometry/fluorescence (IFU). The mean values from seven experiments are shown. Panel B. Equivalent amounts of purified lentivirus (1 x 105 IFU) prepared using either Lenti-X or a filter-based system (Vendor M & Vendor S) were subjected to SDS-PAGE and silver-stained. The Lenti-X sample clearly contained far fewer contaminating proteins at equivalent IFU than either sample prepared from the filter-based systems.
