The Safety Bubble is a portable fume hood that can be placed easily on a bench top and provides protection to the operator and the laboratory environment from exposure to chemical vapours and airborne particulates. It is a fully self-contained system, recirculating fume hood and does not require connection to the house extract system, meaning it is more portable than a regular fume hood.

The Bubble can be used in applications where a fume hood is not a suitable option including Classrooms,  University Laboratories and Hobbies where the extraction of harmful vapours and particulates are needed.

Australian Standards

The Safety Bubble performs to recognised fume hood containment standards, AS2243.9. This ensures protection for the user when handling hazardous chemicals.

Construction

Laboratory air is drawn in through the front opening carrying chemical vapours and airborne particulates away from the user. Those airborne contaminants are captured in a specially designed safe change filtration module. The filter module consists of a combination HEPA H14 and Carbon Filter to contain hazardous gaseous and airborne particulate. The filter assembly is mounted at the rear of the unit and contained within a safe-change housing. Clean air is then exhausted safely back into the laboratory saving on energy and facility costs.
