CycleavePCR Core Kit and primer set

The CycleavePCR Core Kit is designed exclusively for real-time PCR with cycling probe detection. This kit combines the quick and quantitative nature of real-time PCR with the highly specific detection of cycling probe technology. This enables accurate, quick detection and quantification of a target gene or SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms). This kit can be used with the SmartCycler System or SmartCycler II System (Cepheid) and other instruments.

The Provirus Copy Number Detection Primer Set, Human (for Real Time PCR) is used in combination with the CycleavePCR Core Kit to detect the copy number of proviruses integrated into human genomic DNA. Because the PCR amplification region for this kit is located in the packaging signal of MLV (murine leukemia virus), the provirus copy number can be measured in normal human cells which have been transduced with MLV-based retroviral vectors. This product allows you to easily obtain the average provirus copy number without having to use the conventional practice of cloning MLV-transduced cells and then performing a Southern blot.
