Scaled, high-fidelity electrophysiological, morphological, and transcriptomic cell characterization
The multiomic approach of measuring multiple parameters from the same single cell continues to lead to new biological discoveries.
Watch Dr. Brian Lee from the Allen Institute for Brain Science discuss these factors in this webinar.
Webinar outline
Topics covered:
Hear how scientists in his lab are improving transcriptomic data using Takara Bio's highest sensitivity SMART-Seq technology in their neuronal Patch-Seq workflow
Learn how they have refined key factors that lead to the capture of high-quality, single-cell transcriptomic, morphologic, and electrophysiological data
Meet the presenter
Brian Lee, PhD
Dr. Brian Lee is a Senior Scientist at the Allen Institute. During his graduate career at Washington State University and his postdoctoral fellowship at the Scripps Research Institute, Brian focused on examining the role of circuitry-based reorganization of synapses during exposure to drugs of abuse and withdrawal. Upon arriving at the institute in 2014, Brian shifted his interest to study the molecular underpinnings of cell types and their functional properties. Ultimately, he played a key role in the development and optimization of the Patch-seq technique and implementation into an institute-wide pipeline. Currently, Brian manages the electrophysiology group and ongoing Patch-seq development efforts.
