Recombinant green fluorescent protein (rGFP) purified from transformed E. coli using a proprietary method that ensures optimal purity of the GFP protein and integrity of its fluorescence. Suitable for use as a control reagent for GFP expression studies or for microinjection into cells or tissue. Also suitable for use as a standard for protein gels, Western blots, and for fluorometer or FACS machine calibration. GFP is an ~27-kDa monomer with 238 amino acids.
Overview
- Purified, recombinant proteins from E. coli
- Protein retains the absorption and emission spectra identical to expressed proteins
- Retains fluorescence capability under harsh conditions
Applications
- Western blotting
- Calibration of fluorescent protein detection instrumentation
- Microinjection in cells and tissues
