pmBanana Vector

Additional information

Brand

Size

20 ug

pmBanana encodes mBanana, a mutant derived from the tetrameric Discosoma sp. red fluorescent protein, DsRed. In this vector, the mBanana coding sequence is flanked by MCS regions, making it easy to excise the gene for use in other cloning applications. pmBanana is primarily intended to serve as a source of mBanana cDNA.

Overview

  • Bright yellow fluorescent protein
  • mBanana excitation and emission maxima are 540 and 553 nm, respectively

Applications

  • Fusions
  • Protein localization
  • General reporter for mammalian cells
  • Monitoring transfection efficiencies
