Nikki Tsoudis – Director, Lab Products Specialist 

Nikki obtained a PhD in Molecular Immunology from the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. After several years at Promega and Dynal in sales and technical roles, Nikki took on the challenge of managing Scientifix whilst concurrently tending to a young family. Nikki's experience in research, sales and technical support is second to none.  In her spare time Nikki enjoys the gym, boxing, yoga and having a great coffee.



Steve Sarandopoulos – Director, Lab Products Specialist

Steve obtained a PhD in Molecular Biology at Monash University, Department of Microbiology and worked as Scientific Manager for Promega Corporation between late 1990 and mid 1995. Shortly after leaving Promega, Steve co-founded Scientifix. In the interim Steve worked for Ansell rising to the position of Vice President of Marketing and Business Development until December 2002 when he decided to give up the stresses of corporate life and get back to his roots and on the road with Scientifix. Whilst at Ansell, Steve managed to complete an MBA in International Management.



Maureen Chan – Territory Manager (NSW and ACT)

Maureen joined the team at Scientifix in October 2007, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the NSW region. Maureen holds a Bachelor of Science and has a passion for providing solutions to her customers. Maureen's background incorporates high school science teaching and working in the weighing technology division with Sartorius in the United Kingdom. Maureen's interests include reading, travel, bushwalking, jogging and caring for her  son, who keeps her on her toes.



Idris Mohammed – Territory Manager (Qld)

Idris obtained a PhD in molecular biology and microbiology from Victoria University. He worked with Agritechnology Pty Ltd for three years, as a Senior Microbiologist overseeing all microbial research programmes, involving both batch and continuous fermentation process optimisation (both laboratory and pilot scale bio-processes). Idris joined Scientifix in September 2010, and brings strong technical knowledge, an understanding of the procurement of laboratory equipment, and great customer service skills. Idris' interests include running, playing soccer, aerobics, watching football, reading and watching movies.



Ken Baker - Lab Products Specialist

Ken joined Scientifix to strengthen the representation for high tech instrumentation from companies such as Hitachi, Techcomp, Froilabo, Thomas Cain & Prospect Biosystems. With 30+ years experience in the scientific equipment industry, working for local and multi-national companies, and building his own specialist instrumentation business Ken brings a wealth of knowledge to Scientifix in the life sciences, environmental, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, mining, minerals and petrochemistry markets. Ken's main interests are in spectroscopy, particle analysis, automated chemistry & lab automation, and X-ray spectroscopy. He will take charge of the instrumentation to ensure that Scientifix is one of the pre-eminent specialist niche suppliers of high tech instrumentation.



Ross Redwin - Service Manager

Ross has 28 years’ experience servicing scientific instrumentation, including Philips Scientific where he was responsible for XRF & XRD as well as general spectrometry, Waters HLPC where he was  the MS and Validation product specialist, and his own business KI Scientific where he was the centrifugation and incubation product specialist.  Ross also has 20 years’ experience on Ultra Low Temperature freezers. He is a Cert IV workplace trainer, and a qualified lead auditor on ISO9000 and ISO17025.  For fun Ross hangs out at Amnesty International or plays bagpipes. He also loves restoring and riding classic British motorcycles, his guitar, or singing in community choirs.



Mick Ryan - Warehouse Coordinator

Mick brings a wealth and diversity of experience to his role as Warehouse Coordinator. Mick spent 30 years running various businesses including a Newsagency in Mt Waverley and most recently a Star Courier franchise, which he ran for seven years. Mick is married with four adult children. He was a premiership football player, playing over 600 games during his career and is still a keen Carlton supporter and member.
